Worldwide Wardrobe 2013

Hey y'all!

Travel Supermarket is holding a contest 'Worldwide Wardrobe' giving you the chance of winning £200 to buy your winning outfit AND a trip to the destination that your outfit was most suitable for. Crazy, isn't it? Imagine getting the chance of going to Ibiza, Paris, New York or London? It's like dreams coming true. All you have to do is create an outfit of your own choice which you think will be the most suitable for each destination and explain why. If you want to you can only create an outfit for one of the destinations or all five, it's all up to you.

Secondly, you have to pick 5 blogger who you think will be up for the challenge. I'm nominating:

Kirsten from SPRFRK
Natalie from An Odd Girl
Sammie from Beauty Crush

If you fancy, you can enter the competition HERE

TOTAL - £114.99

When you're somewhere warm and most of the time you will spend partying you want to feel comfortable in what you're wearing and at the same time you obviously want to look fashionable. That's why I went for a tie dye tee which is a massive trend this season, to keep me cool and comfy but at the same time it will look super cool and trendy. I paired it up with dark denim shorts as I love denim shorts. I feel good in them and they are a basic piece in my wardrobe for summer. Because the t-shirt is very bright and colourful I decided to go for a dark denim to create a balance between the colours. This colourful tee gives you a lot of different possibilities, due to a lot of colours you can play around with the whole outfit and mix it with a lot of different colours. Thats why I decided to go for red vans to underline the whole outfit and give it a finishing look by choosing a darker colour. For accessories I picked a pair of sunnies which are essential for me in the summer, especially when you're in Ibiza right? And a set of bracelets with different shades of brown and red which go really well with the whole outfit and the shoes.

TOTAL - £199.99

While you're visiting Paris you must be prepared for the heat, large crowds, walking long distances and streets full of people who put fashion in front of everything else. That's why I decided to put my own spin on this look, to stand out from the crowd and be noticed for what I'm wearing. Dungarees, without a doubt will grab others attention, they add a different dimension to the outfit and at the same time look trendy and you feel comfortable wearing them. I decided to go for more casual look, as you will be walking long distances. I pared up the plain dungarees with a busy pattern tee which goes perfectly with them and a straw hat to protect my head from the sun and at the same time creating a funky, fashionable look. Spending all days walking you want to pick a pair of comfy shoes that you know they won't kill your feel, that's why I picked a pair of white converse. They go really well with the light denim dungarees, t-shirt and the hat. In my opinion creating a perfect outfit for sightseeing in Paris. I also added a big brown bag to break the colours and create a bit of a contrast between the light and pastel colours, which adds more life to the outfit. Of course I also included a pair of sunnies, I decided to go for a black pair because black sunnies are more classic and easy to pair with anything.

TOTAL - £172.94

Going for cocktails in New York you want to look stylish. I picked this yellow blazer and paired it with a pair of simple black jeans. This season is all about bright and bold colours, pairing this blazer with black jeans creates a huge contrast. You will look stylish and trendy. Fashion is about taking risks, not being afraid to mix colours and be bold. Therefore I think this blazer is a perfect if you want to impress someone with your style and show that you're not scared of fashion and bright colours. To tone the outfit down I paired the bright blazer with a calm, toned pastel shirt. I think it's a perfect composition as it tones down the brightness and matches perfectly with the jacket. Adding a pair of brown and navy boat shoes and finishing the look with a gold watch and brown sunnies you are ready to turn heads and rock in New York!

TOTAL - £159.24

As I mentioned before spring and summer 2013 is about not being afraid to mix colours and contrasts. That's why this outfit is featuring a black and white theme. To make it more interesting I chose a pair of light, ripped jeans from Asos. I decided to go for them to break the contrast between the black and white and I also think it makes the outfit a lot more interesting. Also when you're shopping in busy London it's all about the comfort and I feel most comfortable in jeans. Pairing the jeans up with white Homies sweatshirt and a black beanie and Nikes creates a massive contrast and that's what I love about this outfit. It's simple but trendy and at the same time super comfy. Because what's better than a baggy, soft sweatshirt and a pair of trainers? To finish this outfit off I decided to add this funky, gold, studded necklace. I think it goes really well with the theme and adds more colour and different dimension to this 'street' look.

Which look is your favourite? I would love to find out!
Good luck to everyone who entered the competition :)

January'13 Wishlist

1. White Star Print Short Sleeve Shirt, £25 (Buy Here).
I was walking past River Island the other day and me being me I had to go in. And as tempting as it was, I didn't allow myself to buy this shirt just yet. However after my January payday this will be one of my first purchases. I actually love this shirt, I don't have a lot of white as well as short sleeve shirts and this one is just perfect. It's just a nice little simple shirt for a party that will give you a bit of a casual and formal look at the same time, if you don't like a proper formal look. I think it will go really nice with black jeans and a leather jacket. Which will give you that 'rocky' look.

2. Navy and White Pattern Beanie, £12 (Buy Here).
Another beanie to add to my collection. It's really cold outside to you gotta keep your head warm, right? This beanie will go well with basically everything, denim or even a leather jacket.

3. Black XS L'exces, £39.99 (Buy Here).
I absolutely love Paco Rabanne 1Million for men. Lately I came across this new fragrance by them,  Black XS L'exces and I decided it's time to try it out. Plus it's time to start using something new since I've been wearing 1 Million for nearly over a year, everyday so I'm starting to get a little bit sick of it.

4. Light Blue Skinny Jeans, £25 (Buy Here).
Surprise, surprise! Another pair of jeans, but you can never have too many jeans. Can you? I already had a pair of really similar jeans from Zara, but they are a bit different shade and a slim cut. Right now I'm on a look out for light blue skinny jeans and these fit all the boxes. I have a pair of this kid of jeans from River Island already just in black and I am really happy with them, so I hope these ones wont disappoint me too.

5. Aztec Print Onesie, £50 (Buy Here).
Believe it or not I still don't own a onesie. Everyone has been telling me how comfy and amazing they are, but I just didn't come across the one that I actually liked. And I'm not that kind of person to buy something for the sake of it. So I decided to firstly find the one I like. Not going to lie, it did take me a bit of time to find one that I actually liked, but at least I found it at the end. Can't wait to jump and relax in it with a cup of hot chocolate!

6. Nike Air Max, £91.99 (Buy Here).
You can't have a wishlist without a pair of shoes! So there they are, does absolutely beautiful Nike Air Max. There is so many different ones that I couldn't decide between, but I decided to settle on this pair. Simply, because they will go with everything, blue or black.

7. Black Strap Neck Leather Jacket, £150 (Buy Here).
This stunning black leather jacket is just perfect. You can just put it on, on top of a t-shirt or a hoodie and you're ready to go. Again, because it's black it will go with everything really. Plus it allows you to play about with it and gives you so many different options. Can't wait to have it.

8. Oyster, 36mm, Yellow Gold Rolex Watch, (Buy Here).
I already have one of the Rolex watches, which I got for my 18th birthday and I am in love with it. Therefore I decided to purchase another one. Gold one this time (the one I got for my birthday is a silver one). So this one will for sure be a little bit of a change. Nice little watch to put on when you're away for a meal, party. Everything looks better if you have a watch on :).

OOTD - Double Denim

Holla!

Today I thought I'd do another outfit of the day for you guys.
Since you can never go wrong denim and no matter what it will always be in fashion. So it is a double denim look, woohoo! Plus it's also something different and gives a bit of edge, ya know?!
So here we go:

The denim jacket is from Topman that I got on Wednesday. I've been looking for a denim jacket for a really long time, but I could never find the one anywhere that I like. I actually love this one and it was also on sale so I only paid for it £20. I was really, really happy about it and it's definitely one of my new favourites. You can never go wrong with a denim jacket. It goes well with everything, it's always trendy and you just put it on whenever you're in hurry or something and it will always look good!

My BOY LONDON t-shirt is from Ebay. I also wanted one for ages, and I was going to buy a original one, but then I realised there is no point spending £35 on a t shirt when I can get one on Ebay for £10. So I went with the cheaper option. Again it's just a plain white tee with black writing, which will go well with everything.  No matter what colour of jeans, chinos you put on it will look goo. You can never go wrong with a white tee.

Jeans are from Zara I got them few weeks ago and they are basically exactly same colour as the jacket. They match perfectly and overall they are just amazing. Zara's clothes are always a really good quality a really good price. Even if something is a little bit more expensive you know its worth it because it will definitely be a really good quality and last you a life time.

Hope you guys like it!
Dave.

Favourite shops

Holla everyone!

We all have those shops that we absolutely love and could live in and the one that we try to avoid. So I thought I'd share with you the ones I like myself. The ones that are relevantly cheap to suit every pocket rather than the high end, pricey shops. As well as the ones I can always rely on and where I always find something for myself if I have/want to and they don't disappoint me. As most you have probably already noticed that I am an absolute fashion freak and I visit a lot of shops. Most of the shops I visit tend to be a fashion retailers you will find in your city on every high street (if you're from UK).

1. Number one and my all time favourite is River Island - one of the most successful companies on the High Street with nearly 300 stores across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Also known for its stylish and affordable fashion clothes for women, men and children and the unique touches they bring to their collections. Which makes the company standout from the rest of the High Street retailers. The only down side is that they don't do student discount.

2. The second, really trendy and fashionable shop is Top Man - company's main product offerings are fashionable men's clothing, covering everything from men's formal suits to informal indie-rock-influenced casual-styling ranges, along with footwear and fashion accessories.

3. Third shop which I can always rely on is Republic - The company is positioned in the mass sector of the clothing market, and has a focus on young fashion. They stock lines from casual brands as well as their own brands.

4. Forth shop, where I don't shop as often and as much as I used to but where I can always go and still find the basic products which I need is H&M - is a Swedish multinational retail-clothing company, which exists in 43 countries. Known for its fast - fashion clothing for men, women, teenagers and children.

There is obviously a lot more shops where I shops and buy clothes from, but these are definitely the main ones you can check out their websites and hopefully find something for yourselves too. Hopefully this also gives you idea what kind of clothes I buy and wear.
