Week In Photos No. 22

Hello y'all!

This week mostly consisted of spending time with my friends and making the most of the amazing weather! Quiet surprisingly it lasted for a long time, considering we're in Scotland and it always tends to rain. So what could be better than chilling in the garden, sunbathing and BBQing?

My two faves t-shirts right now / walk along the beach / chilling in the garden with my friends / shaking coke with my friends ;) / fist time i wore a vest outside this year - making the most of the weather to the max / I am seriously obsessed with my converse/shoes in general / sunbathing with my gal / first time I tried the Nanodo's Peri-Peri Chicken crisps and they were amazing / forever watching Shay Tards on YouTube - he and his family are so inspirational and motivational. LOVE THEM!

I hope you are all well and you had an amazing week too.

Worldwide Wardrobe 2013

Hey y'all!

Travel Supermarket is holding a contest 'Worldwide Wardrobe' giving you the chance of winning £200 to buy your winning outfit AND a trip to the destination that your outfit was most suitable for. Crazy, isn't it? Imagine getting the chance of going to Ibiza, Paris, New York or London? It's like dreams coming true. All you have to do is create an outfit of your own choice which you think will be the most suitable for each destination and explain why. If you want to you can only create an outfit for one of the destinations or all five, it's all up to you.

Secondly, you have to pick 5 blogger who you think will be up for the challenge. I'm nominating:

Kirsten from SPRFRK
Natalie from An Odd Girl
Sammie from Beauty Crush

If you fancy, you can enter the competition HERE

TOTAL - £114.99

When you're somewhere warm and most of the time you will spend partying you want to feel comfortable in what you're wearing and at the same time you obviously want to look fashionable. That's why I went for a tie dye tee which is a massive trend this season, to keep me cool and comfy but at the same time it will look super cool and trendy. I paired it up with dark denim shorts as I love denim shorts. I feel good in them and they are a basic piece in my wardrobe for summer. Because the t-shirt is very bright and colourful I decided to go for a dark denim to create a balance between the colours. This colourful tee gives you a lot of different possibilities, due to a lot of colours you can play around with the whole outfit and mix it with a lot of different colours. Thats why I decided to go for red vans to underline the whole outfit and give it a finishing look by choosing a darker colour. For accessories I picked a pair of sunnies which are essential for me in the summer, especially when you're in Ibiza right? And a set of bracelets with different shades of brown and red which go really well with the whole outfit and the shoes.

TOTAL - £199.99

While you're visiting Paris you must be prepared for the heat, large crowds, walking long distances and streets full of people who put fashion in front of everything else. That's why I decided to put my own spin on this look, to stand out from the crowd and be noticed for what I'm wearing. Dungarees, without a doubt will grab others attention, they add a different dimension to the outfit and at the same time look trendy and you feel comfortable wearing them. I decided to go for more casual look, as you will be walking long distances. I pared up the plain dungarees with a busy pattern tee which goes perfectly with them and a straw hat to protect my head from the sun and at the same time creating a funky, fashionable look. Spending all days walking you want to pick a pair of comfy shoes that you know they won't kill your feel, that's why I picked a pair of white converse. They go really well with the light denim dungarees, t-shirt and the hat. In my opinion creating a perfect outfit for sightseeing in Paris. I also added a big brown bag to break the colours and create a bit of a contrast between the light and pastel colours, which adds more life to the outfit. Of course I also included a pair of sunnies, I decided to go for a black pair because black sunnies are more classic and easy to pair with anything.

TOTAL - £172.94

Going for cocktails in New York you want to look stylish. I picked this yellow blazer and paired it with a pair of simple black jeans. This season is all about bright and bold colours, pairing this blazer with black jeans creates a huge contrast. You will look stylish and trendy. Fashion is about taking risks, not being afraid to mix colours and be bold. Therefore I think this blazer is a perfect if you want to impress someone with your style and show that you're not scared of fashion and bright colours. To tone the outfit down I paired the bright blazer with a calm, toned pastel shirt. I think it's a perfect composition as it tones down the brightness and matches perfectly with the jacket. Adding a pair of brown and navy boat shoes and finishing the look with a gold watch and brown sunnies you are ready to turn heads and rock in New York!

TOTAL - £159.24

As I mentioned before spring and summer 2013 is about not being afraid to mix colours and contrasts. That's why this outfit is featuring a black and white theme. To make it more interesting I chose a pair of light, ripped jeans from Asos. I decided to go for them to break the contrast between the black and white and I also think it makes the outfit a lot more interesting. Also when you're shopping in busy London it's all about the comfort and I feel most comfortable in jeans. Pairing the jeans up with white Homies sweatshirt and a black beanie and Nikes creates a massive contrast and that's what I love about this outfit. It's simple but trendy and at the same time super comfy. Because what's better than a baggy, soft sweatshirt and a pair of trainers? To finish this outfit off I decided to add this funky, gold, studded necklace. I think it goes really well with the theme and adds more colour and different dimension to this 'street' look.

Which look is your favourite? I would love to find out!
Good luck to everyone who entered the competition :)

Mini Haul

Hey y'all!

Today, I have for you my very first haul! WOOP WOOP! Erm... is it just me who's that excited? Yeah... probably, awkies! Oh well, anyway I went shopping few times last month and this month and I picked up few items so I thought I would share them with yah. So here they are!

POLKA DOT SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT - Primark

I am an absolute shirts lover, no a month goes by when I don't treat myself to a new shirt ( or two ). Quiet surprisingly I also love the shirts in Primark... they are very affordable, trendy and really cool. They also have a lot of different styles and patterns. Maybe not the best quality, but come on, where else am I gonna get a shirt for £7? BARGAIN!

I'm in love with this shirt, it's short sleeved, which is perfect for summer, and I just love the pattern on it. So if you're a fan of shirts like me or you're looking for a new shirt I would recommend checking Primark!

This is another shirt I picked up from Primark. I love the colors on it. When I look at it, it just makes me think of summer and just makes me happy. Patterns and bright colors are in right now as well, so if you're looking for a trendy/summery shirt this is perfect option.

BLACK TEE - Primark

Yup, another item from Primark. This one however was customized by me! I did a little DIY on it. I went to Top Man and I found this perfect black, studded tee there. However the price was really steep. I wasn't prepared to pay £20 for a simple black tee! CRAZY RIGHT? So I decided to purchase a simple black tee for £2.50 from Primark and add the studs myself. (If you're wondering how to DIY your tee check our my tutorial HERE)

NEW YORK T-SHIRT - Top Man

While I was in Top Man, and even though I managed to stop myself from buying the black studded tee I couldn't contain myself from buying this one! I love this tee, it's very comfy, and loose fit and fits me perfectly. LOVE IT!

COCAINE & CAVIAR - eBay

Yup, i did follow the crowd and ended up getting yet again another tee. I'm not a big fan of slogan tees, but I found this one very interesting and different. I just feel like I can style it in many different ways and wear it with literally anything. If you would like me to show you how I style this tee let me know in the comments down below :).

NIKE TRAINERS - Nike

I basically shouldn't be allowed anywhere near shoes... because this is getting ridiculous. BUT HOW could I have possible NOT got these beauties? Especially when they were only £35, I mean COME ON? I love them, I'm not really a fan on red, but I love blue and I just thought the colors in this pair worked really well! I wear jeans a lot and I feel like these shoes will go with any jeans I put on.

So that's it for today. I hope you enjoyed this haul and I shall do another, bigger one soon! I wasn't really sure how to show you the products because I don't think they are looking the best on the hangers, but I literally gave up on my tripod, so I wasn't even going to attempt take takes of me wearing these items. I hope you don't mind them being presented like that and you like them.

Also, be sure to let me know in the comments what you think about all these items! I's dyeing to hear your opinions!

Until next time!

DIY TEES + PHOTO SHOOT

Holla!

It is probably not a shock to anyone that tie dye is massive this season, wherever you go you see it in every shop. Therefore I decided to do a little DIY myself and try my hand at making some of the t-shirts myself. I have to say it was very fun and interesting experiment and I was really happy with the results. I love the tees, most of the have turned out really well apart from the very last one (blue dip dye one) and to be honest I'm not too sure why it didn't fully dye the material... If any of you would like a little DIY how to make your own tie-dye t-shirts I am more than happy to do so, just let me know in the comments down below and I shall do it for you :).

For now, I'm leaving you with few photos, I thought instead of showing you each of the t-shirts separately on the hangers - which would be really boring. It would be a really cool idea to take few snaps and show you how the t-shirts turned out on me. Also my new tripod arrived so it was a good time to try it out, haha! I hope you like the photos and hopefully I will be able to take more interesting snaps of my outfits outside and show you the way I style different pieces more often since now I have my tripod :)!

Additionally I decided to add few extra  photos that I took while I was out and about :)

Passion for Fashion Competition

Holla!

I know, I know. It's not been that long since my last post and it's not the day I would usual post but IT'S COMPETITION TIME! I found out that MoneySupermarkter is holding a competition coincidentally named like my blog ha, ha! So I thought it would be a great idea to challenge myself and enter the competition. Since I'm pretty new to blogging and I have before entered any competition like that I didn't really know how to go on about it, but I'm really excited to find out what the people from the judging panel think of my style  and if I'm capable of winning any of the categories.

Let me tell you a little bit more about the competition itself. Everyone who wants to take part in the competition must create three different outfits in different categories. The categories are casual wear, beach wear and party wear, there is no any rules of what you have to pick therefore you're really flexible and  be able to create three different outfits that you would wear and would reflect your personality, outfits must be under £200.  There will be a different winner for each category and the winners will be chosen by the representative judges who are also bloggers. The winner for each category, will win £200 to buy their winning outfit.

This is what I came up with. I would love to find out what you all think about those outfits and what one is your favorite so feel free to leave a comment down below. And wish me luck :).

Here I went for a bright shirt full of details, patterns are very trendy this season and the bright colours make the shirt stand out, it also adds the 'summer vibe' to the whole outfit in general. I would also pair it with my all time favourite chain bowtie to give it more texture, the dark bowtie would also contrast really nicely with the bright shirt. As I like my outfits more casual I also picked light blue jeans therefore to make the outfit more formal I decided to combine it with a black leather jacket and black shoes toning the whole outfit down and making it more formal. The bracelets would also give the outfit a proper formal finish .

I love comfort and to feel good in what I wear, but at the same time I also want to stay fashionable. That's what I tried to focus on while creating this look. Pattern and comic designs are hitting all the shops on the high streets this season along side with bright, bold and eye-catching beanies. I picked this batman tee from Topman and combined it with the light blue denim look-a-like joggers, to add a little bit more colour and make the outfit brighter I added this bright orange beanie as I think it brightens the whole outfit and makes it more summery. I feel like the bright beanies balances the whole outfit and work really well with the faded design on the t-shirt. For comfort I picked the white vans, vans are probably my most favourite shoes. Since it's a casual outfit I also picked this backpack from River Island as I tried to make it as personal as possible and I always have a bag or a bagpack with me. The gold spikey bracelet is a nice piece of jewellery to finish of this look.

For the beach look I went for another big trend this season tie-dye. Tie-dye, dip-dye and oversized vests are one of the biggest trends for spring/summer 2013. Also I love the pastel colours, this vest makes me think of nothing but summer and sunny days at the beach therefore I had to for it. I paired it up with light denim shorts, pair of sunnies, dark necklace and navy Toms which balance out the bold, black and gold snap back. The snap back is the most eye-catching piece for this outfit.
